I made these fist necklaces while feverishly watching the news the last week of May, after the murder of George Floyd. I was searching for a way to be supportive and to help in any way that I can, and decided to sell them and donate 100% to a nonprofit whose mission is to achieve an equal and inclusive society. ⁠⠀

Because of you, I was able to give $1,000 donation to The NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, Inc.- America’s premier legal organization fighting for racial justice. ⁠⠀

One thing that has become very clear to me is that there is so much power in supporting the people and organizations that I believe in – supporting them financially. While my company has always been positioned to give back to organizations I believe in, I am increasing my focus in this area. First, we are raising funds with a goal of donating $2,775 to Equal Justice Initiative. Founded in 1989 by Bryan Stevenson, a widely acclaimed public interest lawyer and bestselling author of Just Mercy, EJI is a private, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides legal representation to people who have been illegally convicted, unfairly sentenced, or abused in state jails and prisons.⁠⠀
